TAX AND ECONOMIC SOLUTIONS AFRICA
Bridging Tax, Fiscal Policy & Public Finance
Building a More Informed South Africa
We’ve worked on improving the lives of over 25,000 young people through direct practice.
What we do
Tax Literacy & Education
We develop educational programmes that make South Africa's tax system easier to understand. Our initiatives support learners, students, small businesses and the general public, helping them better understand taxation, taxpayer rights and responsibilities. From school-based Tax Career Days to webinars and workshops, we take tax education beyond the traditional boardroom.
Research & Advocacy
TESA engages with issues affecting tax administration, fiscal policy and public finance in South Africa. Through research and evidence-based advocacy, we contribute to conversations around how public finances are raised, allocated and managed. Our objective is to encourage informed dialogue around fiscal policies that affect government, businesses and communities.
Public Dialogue & Convening
We bring together tax professionals, economists, policymakers, business leaders, academics and members of the public to discuss the economic issues shaping South Africa. Our events create spaces where complex fiscal announcements can be unpacked, questioned and understood.
SME & Business Support
We help small and medium-sized businesses better understand the tax, financial and economic environment in which they operate. Through practical workshops, funding clinics and educational initiatives, TESA connects entrepreneurs with information and resources that can support better decision-making around tax compliance, business finance and access to funding. Our goal is to help SMEs engage more confidently with the systems, institutions and opportunities that influence their growth.
